Chef Valerie was born and raised in Fresno where she spent many days in both her grandmother’s kitchens. As a youngster she soaked up their love of cooking both traditional Armenian and down home Southern Style meals.
Valerie graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Fresno State University. Working in food service for many years, Val’s love for both business and cooking lead her to a position as the General Manager of The Downtown Club; a private, fine dining and banquet facility. She was employed there for more than 10 years. From there she became a Corporate Chef for Aetna Health Insurance Company preparing healthy options for over 600 employees daily.
Valerie loves cooking all types of food. She enjoys creating ethnic dishes; adding an organic, healthy and fresh approach. She specializes in soups, both hearty and healthy.
Chef Valerie’s pleasure is bringing organic seasonal meals from the farmers market to your table. From haute cuisine to perfectly prepared everyday meals, Chef Valerie’s zeal for delighting her friends, family and customers is evident in every bite!
